Power Plants & Other Assets

Integrys leverages its energy assets for the benefit of customers and shareholders. Through operational excellence, we operate our plants and facilities to be safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible.

  • Coal-fired Power Plants
Our coal-fired power plants use current emissions-reduction technology to produce the power our customers need while protecting the environment. Our coal-fired plants are owned and operated by our regulated electric utility, Wisconsin Public Service.
  • Hydroelectric Power Plants
Hydroelectric power was the original renewable energy. For more than a century, we've been harnessing the power of water to help our communities grow. Our hydroelectric facilities are owned and operated by our regulated electric utilities, Wisconsin Public Service and Upper Peninsula Power Company.
  • Peaking Power Plants
Peaking plants generate power only when customers' needs reach a peak, such as on summer's hottest days. Wisconsin Public Service operates several peaking plants.
  • Wind Farms
Three wind farms, owned and operated by Wisconsin Public Service, are capable of producing more than 100 megawatts of wind energy.
  • Nonregulated Energy Assets
Integrys Energy Services develops, acquires, owns and operates clean, renewable and efficient energy sources throughout the United States. This includes solar and landfill gas facilities.
  • Gas Main
In total, Integrys utilities own more than 23,000 miles of natural gas distribution and transmission main. Right now, in the largest main replacement program we've undertaken, Peoples Gas is replacing nearly 2,000 miles of main in the city of Chicago for long-term safety and reliability.
