Local Festivals, Parades & Fairs

Local offices across Integrys proudly support their communities' festivals, parades and fairs. Through sponsorships, hands-on help or even our trucks on parade, we share in the rituals that bring communities together.
Each December, thousands of people are drawn to the small farming community of Ida, Michigan, for the Christmas in Ida Festival. Its most popular event is the Parade of Lights. Altogether, the festival brings more than 36,000 visitors to this community of 5,000.
As part of the community, Michigan Gas Utilities joins the annual parade. Employees from the utility's Monroe, Michigan, office decorate a street crew truck with lights and drive it in the parade. Others hand out candy along the parade route.
The two-hour-long parade features more than 100 illuminated entries, ranging from fire trucks with glowing Santas to farm combines and front-end loaders decked out with lights.
