Helping Hands During the Holidays

Tracy Blattner, Integrys Energy Services

Tracy Blattner, from Retail Invoicing and Settlements at Integrys Energy Services, De Pere, Wisconsin, wraps holiday surprises for a Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family.

Employees across all of our companies choose service over self by helping those in need during the holidays. For a multitude of our locations, the Salvation Army's Adopt-a-Family program is a heartfelt holiday tradition.

Integrys Energy Services' De Pere, Wisconsin, headquarters is one example. In 2007, the office volunteered for Adopt-a-Family and was given a family of seven for whom it would fill holiday wishes. A bake sale, chili fest and football tailgate party helped raised money for the shopping. In addition, employees donated toys, games, clothing, household items and gift cards. The response was so overwhelming that in December, the Integrys Energy Services office adopted a second family of five. Even with the late start, the second family also received a bounty of gifts to meet their needs and wish lists. Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family is a popular holiday tradition for many of our other companies and offices as well.
