Ecovations™ Renewable Gas
Ohio residents have a new option for using renewable energy in their home: Integrys Energy Services' Ecovations™ Renewable Gas. Ecovations provides a blend of natural gas and "biogas" — at no added cost to customers. The company absorbs the cost of providing this eco-friendly gas in order to make it available to all consumers.
Biogas is methane generated from manure digesters, sewage treatment plants and landfill gas wells. It has the same energy potential as conventional natural gas.
"We're the first energy company to provide a free, eco-friendly natural gas option to all consumers, regardless of the program they enroll in," said Susanne Buckley, director of regional sales for Integrys Energy Services in Ohio. "All consumers need to do is choose Integrys Energy Services as their provider and opt for Ecovations gas, and we deliver."
To help the environment even more, Integrys Energy Services is partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation. For every new enrollment in Ecovations, a tree is planted in one of our nation's forests. This, too, reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
