Integrys Ranks 5th Among Utilities in Newsweek's "Green" Rankings

In its September 2009 environmental rankings of America's 500 largest corporations, Newsweek commented about Integrys: "Although it largely uses coal to generate power, electricity production accounts for only 12% of company operations, with a correspondingly smaller amount of greenhouse gas emissions than many energy companies. Also has a strong climate program. In 2008 Integrys began purchasing renewable energy; became the first company in the country to allow customers to purchase a biogas blend instead of natural gas."

Integrys ranked 5th in the "Utilities" category, and 214th overall. See more on the Newsweek Web site.
