09/22/2004	DEMAXX EMS (Energy Management System) LAN	The DEMAXX EMS LAN supports both generation and reliability functions. DEMAXX EMS information is partitioned into reliability and generation information. Screens that are accessible to Energy Supply and Control include information necessary to balance resources to load; Area Control Error, aggregated net flows on inter-ties, the status of generation under the control of Energy Supply and Control, financial and economic information for generator costing, load forecasting and other non-transmission related information. Screens used for operations/reliability are password protected and restricted from market function employees and most employees. Other employees (engineering department, distribution planning department, field maintenance) are trained in Standards of Conduct before receiving access to DEMAXX reliability information. Passwords for access to Protected Information on the DEMAXX LAN must be changed every three months. Computer users who do not change their passwords have their access to the Protected Information automatically terminated.
