Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas Launch New and Improved Web Sites

New sites are a one-stop-shop that provide customers a wide variety of resources in a more user-friendly format

CHICAGO, IL. – Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas, the natural gas delivery companies for the Chicagoland area, today announced the redesign and launch of the new and improved peoplesgasdelivery.com and northshoregasdelivery.com. The goal of the redesigned sites is to provide customers with information and tools in an easy-to-find and customer-friendly format.

Through the new Web sites, customers will be able to learn about ways to conserve energy, manage their bills, gain financial assistance information and get overall customer service support, day and night.

“We’re excited about the new look and feel of the Web sites and the new resources we are offering our customers,” said Rodrigo A. Sierra, vice president, Public Affairs. “By revamping the format of the sites and adding additional tools, we are offering customers a fresh, new, user-friendly site focused on their needs.”

Several of the new features that have been added include:

Energy Conservation Tips Section

Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas encourage customers to conserve energy year-round to reduce their energy usage and bills. This section provides tips and ideas to increase energy efficiency at little or no cost.

Natural Gas Appliance Calculator

Often times, customers are completely in the dark as to how much energy household appliances use. With the natural gas appliance calculator, customers can determine the approximate energy usage and cost of most major natural gas appliances to help them plan how to save energy while helping the environment and their pocket book.

For Educators Section

Peoples Gas' and North Shore Gas' commitment to the community extends into the classroom and beyond to help teachers and students learn together. This new section is geared towards environmental and natural gas safety to help everyone fulfill their role.

In the Environment Section

It is vital to communicate to customers the importance of energy efficiency and its impact on the environment. This section provides tips on how to live “greener” and efforts the company is embarking on to support green initiatives.

“Our goal is that we connect with, educate and engage the customer when it comes to their energy needs,” said Sierra. “By providing them with these new tools we stand by our mission in delivering safe, clean and reliable gas to our customers everyday.”
