Innovative Educators Rewarded by WPS Foundation

Green Bay, WI - The winners of the 2012-2013 Innovative Educator Grants have been announced by the program's sponsor, the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation. The program, now in its sixth year, awards innovative teaching programs in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. The WPS Foundation is funded by corporation shareowners and NOT electric or natural gas customers.

This year, 32 applications were received and 14 projects were awarded. Middle school and high school educators whose school districts were within the Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) service area were encouraged to apply for up to $1,000 grants. An independent panel of judges from the energy education field selected the finalists for WPS.
