Wisconsin Public Service Volunteer Awards Breakfast
"Volunteers - Brightening Lives"

Green Bay, WI – The 21st Annual Wisconsin Public Service Volunteer Awards Breakfast, the community’s most broad-based volunteer recognition event, will take place Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the KI Convention Center, 333 Main Street. The breakfast buffet will start at 7:00 a.m. and the awards program will begin at 7:30 a.m.
More than 500 volunteers, community leaders, and others will attend this high-profile event. The RSVP deadline for the event is this Monday, April 6th.
An award recipient and runner-up will be announced in seven categories:
- Associated Bank Heart of Gold Award
- Schneider National Foundation Volunteer Leadership Award
- Prevea Health Adult Award
- Green Bay Packaging Volunteer in Education Award
- Bellin Health Small Group Award
- Green Bay Packers Large Group Award
- Schreiber Foods Youth Award
Nearly 170 individuals and groups were nominated for the awards, and all nominees will be honored at the event. “This is one of our community’s most energizing events,” commented Christine Danielson, executive director of the Volunteer Center of Brown County. "At a time when the economic news can be so bleak, it will be a great chance for people to get motivated about the positive impact that our community’s volunteers continue to have. Volunteers truly do brighten lives."
