Minnesota Energy Resources Seeks Customer Input to Help Design Future Energy Efficiency Programs

Customers who take part in an on-line survey will have a chance to win one of ten free home energy audits

Rosemount, MN – Minnesota Energy Resources Corporation is looking for help from its customers. By completing an online survey, customers will provide the company with valuable input to help design future energy efficiency programs. After completing the online survey, customers will be entered for a chance to win one of ten free home energy audits (valued at $300).

According to President Chuck Cloninger, Minnesota Energy Resources is using the free energy audits to encourage residential customers to take the Internet survey about the types of appliances in their homes. “Customers who take the 10-minute survey are automatically entered in the drawing,” said Cloninger, “but even if they don’t take the survey they can still enter the drawing from the Web site.”

The survey consists of simple, multiple-choice questions about the types of appliances in customers' homes. The information gained will be used to design energy efficiency offerings and programs that are better suited for Minnesota Energy Resources customers, based on how they use energy. Access to the survey can be gained at www.minnesotaenergyresources.com/survey. Customers should have their natural gas bill handy when starting the survey since entry to the drawing is by account number.

The free Home Energy Audit awarded to winners is the more detailed of two analyses now offered by Minnesota Energy Resources on a cost-sharing basis. Valued at $300, the audit will provide a comprehensive analysis of the customer’s home energy use. In addition to all of the services available in a standard audit, the Performance Audit also includes:
