Meinz to Retire from Integrys Energy Group, Schott Named Successor

Executive Vice President led the company's External Affairs group for 10 years

Green Bay, WI – Integrys Energy Group, Inc. (NYSE: TEG) today announced the retirement of Executive Vice President and Chief External Affairs Officer Tom Meinz. Meinz will retire on March 31, 2010 after more than 40 years with the company. As leader of the External Affairs department, Meinz was responsible for Integrys' community, regulatory, and legislative affairs, as well as its media relations, customer communications, and brand strategies.

James Schott will replace Meinz as Vice President – External Affairs and leader of the External Affairs group.

Meinz, 63, also currently holds the posts of Chairman of Upper Peninsula Power Company, Michigan Gas Utilities, and Minnesota Energy Resources, and President of Wisconsin River Power Company, all affiliates of Integrys. During his career, he also headed the Environmental Services department and Power Supply & Engineering groups. Meinz is also President of the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation, the company's philanthropic arm.

In the Green Bay community, Meinz serves on the Board of Directors of PMI, as a Commissioner for the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District, and on the Advisory Board of the Brown County Salvation Army.

An Escanaba, MI, native, Meinz graduated from Michigan Technical University in Houghton MI, with a degree in Chemical Engineering and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business Executive Management program.

Schott, 52, began his career with Integrys in 2003 as Assistant Vice President – Regulatory Affairs. Prior to joining the company, Schott held a variety of positions at Wisconsin Energy and its subsidiary Wisconsin Gas Company including Controller and Senior Vice President – Distribution Operations. Schott holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from Georgetown University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
