For Release: 06/24/2011
Minnesota Energy Resources has partnered with The Clean Energy Resources Team (CERTs) and Niagara Conservation to help commercial and industrial customers reduce their water and energy consumption AND save money through the "Make a Splash" campaign.
Through September 1, 2011 only, eligible Minnesota Energy Resources customers can purchase highly efficient pre-rinse spray valves for commercial kitchen operations and aerators for kitchen and bathroom washing facilities. These products are designed to help customers save money and are available for a limited time at specially reduced prices only through the CERTs "Make a Splash" campaign. Customers can download the "Make a Splash" brochure and place their orders directly on the CERTs website: http://splash.mncerts.org.
Minnesota businesses and organizations, including restaurants, schools and hospitals, can save on water heating costs by installing these low cost but effective water saving upgrades. When used together, these pre-rinse spray valves and faucet aerators can use up to 75% less water and save hundreds of dollars per year on average in energy costs, depending on customer use. Simple energy efficiency measures like these can help companies manage their operations costs, conserve critical water resources and improve the environment.
In addition to the specially reduced price, Minnesota Energy is also offering a rebate for 50% of the cost of these water saving pre-rinse spray valves and aerators to help lower costs even more. There is no limit to the number of spray valves and aerators an individual customer can purchase, however rebates are only available for the pre-rinse spray valve itself or both products together. The rebate application form and additional program information is available on the Minnesota Energy website: http://www.minnesotaenergyresources.com/business/water_rebates.aspx.
"We are thrilled to partner with the CERTS "Make a Splash" campaign and Niagara Conservation to make these water and energy savings products available and affordable for our customers", stated Jim Phillippo, Manager of Energy Efficiency Programs for Minnesota Energy. "This is a smart, low cost investment that will pay customers back for years with economic and environmental benefits that are win-win for everyone."
This offer is only available through September 1, 2011 so customers must act quickly in order to receive the "Make a Splash" reduced price and rebate from Minnesota Energy. Rebate applications must be received by November 1, 2011 and only product purchased through the "Make a Splash" campaign are eligible for these rebates at this time.
