Rosemount, MN - Minnesota Energy Resources has created the "It's Worth the Energy" grant opportunity worth up to $3,000. Organizations located and operating in the Minnesota Energy Resources’ service area can submit proposals for a project that betters the community in one of the following three areas: Environment, Community or Human Services. The submissions of the three finalists will be voted on using the Minnesota Energy Resources' Facebook page.
Eligible organizations must meet the following criteria: hold 501c3 non-profit status from the IRS, operate in the areas of Environment, Community or Human Services, have an active social media presence on Facebook, have a cooperative attitude towards partnering with Minnesota Energy Resources and be in good standing with the local community.
Project proposals are due August 12. The top three projects, as selected by an independent panel of judges, will be voted on by followers of the Minnesota Energy Resources' Facebook page. Voting will take place October 3 through October 20. All three finalists will receive a grant; first place will receive $3,000; second, $2,000; and third, $1,000.
